Guide to BUYING:
Region Fine Art offers a variety of ways to buy artwork. We have a wide array of Contemporary Artists and Historical Artists in our Gallery. You can also bid on several Online & Live Auctions throughout the year. Annually we hold 1 to 2 important Live Art Auctions in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Online Bidding for these auctions is also available through LiveAuctioneers.com.
If you wish to bid on an online art auction; please use our Registration form available on our website. If you already have one, please sign in. Once, this is done you are free to bid on any current auctions. If you happen to win an auction; we will contact you within a couple of days of the auction to process the payment and arrange shipping if needed.
To buy artwork through the Gallery, once you see a piece you like please use our CONTACT US page to email us. This is located under the ABOUT US tab at the top of our website. If you would prefer to give us a call please call 1-204-641-1594.
Guide to SELLING:
Region Fine Art offers several methods to selling your artwork. Whether you are an Artist looking to market your artwork or if you have a painting that you bought and wish to sell or have a collection you would like sold properly. Some Artworks benifit from selling through a gallery and online listed with a specific purchase price and others will benifit from selling through an Art Auction. Many times we know the collector that will be the most interested in a specific piece and we can broker a deal to get you exactly what you need fairly quickly. Other times an auction is best if there are several interested parties.
The more rare and important the artist or work is the needs will change. To sell artwork use the CONTACT US page to tell us a bit about who you are and what you are looking at selling. We will then email or call back to discuss your options and the potential the artwork has with us.
Region Fine Art offers a variety of written appraisal services. Each document is professional, unbiased and rational. We strive to provide the most precise current valuation for each piece. Many unique factors are taken into account for each individual piece. All written appraisal are completely by Nolan Sigvaldason (the owner of Region Fine Art).
Mr. Sigvaldason has provided countless appraisal’s over the years to Private Collector’s, Art Galleries, Museum’s, Church’s as well as for Businesses and Corporations. The majority of the appraisals average between 2 to 3 pages in length and come with 2 hand signed copies of each appraisal (additional copies extra).

Restoring your artwork back to its original beauty can be easier said than done. Depending on your needs; restoration can be a very difficult process and be quite costly. We have immediate access to our own qualified fine art restorer. If a more complex or sensitive restoration job is required we can have the artwork inspected and restored by one of our specialized restorers within our network. This is definitely a more costly option but depending on the artworks monetary or sentimental value this is a very valuable service.
We also provide professional fine art cleaning for works that are dirty and would benefit being brightened up. This can be a very important key to maintaining quality artwork for generations to enjoy. If an art piece that is dirty is offered for sale through the auction or the gallery; potential buyers are usually extra reserved on purchasing or bidding. This will likely cause the piece to either go unsold or to sell for a much lower value that if the piece was flawless. Lots selling between $2,500 and up = 10%
Lots selling between $500 and $2,499 = 20%
Lots selling for under $500 = 30%
- If a reserve price is in place and the lot does not sell, a reserve bid charge of 5% of the reserve price will be charged (minimum charge of $100)
- As the Consignor you are responsible for the reserve fee and shipping to/from our gallery.
- We also offer extremely competitive fees for dealers, estates, artists, and quantity.
Packaging & Shipping
Region Fine Art can assist you with all you’re packaging and shipping needs, following each auction or art purchase. There are multiple options and scenarios with ever sale and we work with you in developing a suitable and secure plan for the safe delivery of your artwork. Upon the completion of each sale, R.F.A. will email the successful lot winners. This email will communicate payment options, as well as packaging, insurance and shipping options. Once these are decided upon; R.F.A. will send out an invoice and continue with payment completion before releasing the artwork. Region Fine Art takes great care in the packaging of your valuable artwork.
